Star Trek Prequel Beams Success To The Critics

I'm all set to watch Star Trek prequel movie on May 8 and I'm going to watch it no matter what critics will say because after all, I am a Star Trek fan. Little did I know that I'm going to definitely be joined by a lot of people come May 8.

Why? Because critics and movie reviewers are all raving about this Star Trek 2009 movie. Congrats to J.J. Abrams for a sure blockbuster hit. So, as requested by a friend of mine who's also a big Star Trek fan, here's what people had to say about this movie.

"I can name exactly three and a half things "Star Trek" gets wrong -- and I can name about a thousand that Abrams and his cast and crew get absolutely, pitch-perfect, elegantly right." - James Rocchi, MSN Movies

"It's the kind of franchise opener that leaves you giddy for a sequel, stuffed with ideas about where to go from here. It's the kind of blockbuster that makes you happy movies exist." - Katey Rich, CinemaBlend.com

"It is pleasant to report that though it's not perfect, the reconstituted Star Trek is successful enough for everyone to breathe a sigh of relief." - Kenneth Turan, Los Angeles Times

"There are many satisfyingly sly flourishes in Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman's script." - Mary F. Pols, TIME Magazine

"This is really the story of how the Enterprise crew meets, hammers out its differences and becomes a team, and the telling is pure bliss." - Colin Covert, Minneapolis Star Tribune

"Take note, George Lucas: This is how it's done." - Rene Rodriguez, Miami Herald

"A bright, shiny blast from a newly imagined past." - Manohla Dargis, New York Times

"With one film, J.J. Abrams has made Star Trek younger, flashier, sexier, funnier, and less intelligent, but more exhilarating than it has been in decades." - Sean O'Connell, Filmcritic.com

And the list goes on and on.
